Musical sketches by ENGLAND'S COUNCIL OF LEGISLATION AND GOVERNING BODY OF HYPER REAL SIMULATIONS AND CONSTRUCTS is a monthly mix of curation, recompilation and pseudepigrapha.
This mix was initially titled vultus tela vibrat (translating as “thy countenance shakes spears”, a sentence Gabriel Harvey said of Edward de Vere once), but then changed it to this very sentence, which someone I knew said to me while lying on a hospital bed.
By no means am putting myself where this quote is based, but at this time, studying the topic of anonymity and secrecy, I decided to take the courtesy of making this a bit more personal and went with a phrase I am connected with and sat down to make this musical piece consisting of various folk projects/early music ensembles I found myself in my early teenage years and snippets of recordings I made while recording while building a room of folk instruments. I assume I chose to make a mix of folk music due to the sheer irony in all this.
