Community Outreach with Steve Firth: 13th May 2026

On this week's Community Outreach Show Steve speaks to local coordinator Lorraine from Re-engage, a charity that organises events for people over 75 who may be suffering from loneliness or other social isolation. The organisation runs tea parties for guests and are on the lookout for new volunteers to be drivers, hosts/hostesses and coordinators. Lorraine explains the origins of the charity, the services it offers and makes an appeal for new users and volunteers. Sam, a volunteer driver also comments on her involvement and the pleasure she gets from volunteering with Re-engage. Wednesday 13th and 20th May at 1pm on www.regalradio.net
