The Takeover w/ Yyre: Sad Clowns in Memorium 30th December 2025

This is Yyre (prounced wire), in their own words, they started out by just being "some nerd" who wanted to play some jungle records with other nerds. You might recognise their old alias, djsoyboi, they did a lot of work pushing for more recognition for queer people in Jungle, footwork and hardcore scenes. The people who's work often goes unseen, but leaves a sonic impact like no other. They quickly caught the attention of scene heavyweights such as Sherelle, LCN and [note to editor, rule of three, what sounds more impressive, Mary Anne Hobbs or Tom Ravencroft? They have had their tunes played by VTSS, should we mention that too?] and put on the iconic "Tough Act" club night at the iconic club - The White Hotel.
The club series ended a year and a half ago, but it left a mark on the queer Manchester scene, now you can find all sorts of queer parties in Manchester championing all kinds of hard dance music.
