Swiss Born artist and musician Roman “Romanowski” Weingartner arrived on the streets of San Francisco in 1991. Having already been DJing for six years, he was about to embark on an artistic journey that has produced a body of work that that has embellished The City’s walls and neighbourhoods in sound, shape, and colour. You’ve seen him. His collaborations range from musical artists, Tommy Guerrero, and to visual artists Doze Green, David Choong Lee, and Brian Barneclo. With an entire kaleidoscope of noteworthy artists in between. (Every) Now and Then presented by 111 Minna Gallery is a retrospective of 30 years of art and music by the Swiss artist. The show highlights Weingartner’s diversity in mediums. Ranging from mattress bombing, woodwork, stencil work, sculpture, painting, photography, music production, and DJing.
