The Takeover w/ NikNak (Eves' Drop Collective) 6th August 2021

An award-winning storyteller in her own right, NikNak is devoted to developing her unique
practice as a DJ & Turntablist, sound artist/composer, producer, tutor, sound engineer and radio
presenter. She was one of the resident artists on Opera North's "Resonance" Programme in
2020, and is a resident artist at the University of Huddersfield // HCMF’s Sound Pioneers cohort.
NikNak also became one of the winners of 2020’s Oram Awards, and made history by becoming
the first Black Turntablist to win the award. She has also been one of the winners of the COVID
19 Composer Award by Sound and Music. She is also a strong advocate for diverse
representation in the music industry, especially within the DJ and music production realms, and
musician wellbeing/mental health.
