Mendi is a DJ and producer who embodies the diverse sounds of contemporary electronic music. Of Senegalese and Guinean descent, he draws deep inspiration from his African roots while blending influences from UK bass, US club music, and breaks. Growing up in a music-filled environment, Mendi quickly developed a refined ear for innovative sounds. He began his journey by sharing his musical discoveries through playlists and compilations before stepping into the world of DJing. His creative energy led him to perform at iconic venues such as Le Sucre in Lyon, Nuits Sonores, and Dengo Club in Lisbon. After moving to Montpellier in 2021, Mendi joined the Piñata web radio station and released his debut single, “Atabacada,” on the Plaisance Records label. This release marked the start of his career as a producer, and he soon became part of the resident team at Rinse France.
