Born and raised in Manchester with deep roots in UK bass music, Katie grew up immersed in soundsystem culture from a young age. In 2016 she relocated to Shenzhen, China and in no time launched her own event VEXTRA at the critically acclaimed OIL Club with the goal of fusing British and East Asian music cultures together by inviting prominent guests over such as Goth-Trad, Killa-P, Roska, Commodo and more. In 2018, after making waves in South China’s electronic music scene, she was invited to play in Japan, Korea and beyond before relocating to Hong Kong for 2 years. Katie moved to Toronto in 2021 and since continues to bring a high-energy approach to her sets, curiously blending together UK Garage, UK Funky, Grime and Dubstep in clubs, festivals and warehouses across Ontario.
