"An ambitious global range..all sing as well as they play, switching from scat to powerful harmony" Robin Denselow, World and Folk Critic, The Guardian Kabantu is a quartet from Manchester (UK) featuring violin, guitar, vocals and percussion, who create new marriages of music from around the globe, to celebrate the space where different cultures meet. Vocal harmonies from South Africa coalesce with everything from Celtic reels to Brazilian samba and beyond. In 2018 Kabantu released their debut album "Of the People" to critical acclaim, produced by Mercury-nominated Gerry Diver and supported by the Hattori Foundation and the PRS Foundation's The Open Fund for Music Creators. Kabantu will be playing a selection of songs from their debut album “Of the People” along with a couple of new compositions.
