New Orleans resident and multi instrumentalist Gitkin was recently in Manchester supporting the soulful sounds of Say She She. He follows up with this glorious mix of Afro-Latin gems, much aligned with his own music which could be described as a globally informed set of Silvertone-guitar-powered compositions. His latest album, on Wonderwheel Records, is called Golden Age.
The mix is doused with psychedelia and like his own tunes, is influenced by fellow countryman and iconic twang guitarist of the 1960s, Duane Eddy.
