Description
No Music On A Dead Planet, hosted by Olivia Swift, will be investigating the relationship between the music industry and the climate crisis. The programme features interviews with Tom Hardy (founding member of Adam and the Ants and part of the Music Declares Emergency group) as well as Clive Russell and Paul Nelson from the Extinction Rebellion Arts group. Singer-songwriter Kimwei McCarthy chats about the role of musicians in tackling the climate crisis and Chris Spinato, from REVERB discusses how his organisation is working to reduce the environmental impact of touring. The hour-long programme will explore the environmental damage the music industry has caused, the groups working to reverse it, and the way that music has continually served as a protest tool.
