''I’ve chosen to focus this show on the darker recesses of 90’s/00’s UK Tech House music, a genre that was misaligned for many years but is now seeing a major resurgence, being championed by selectors such as Call Super, Shanti Celeste, Peach and Ploy among others. I’ll be featuring key figures of the scene such as Eddie Richards, Terry Francis, Nathan Coles, Asad Rizvi, Harold Heath, Bushwacka! and Lee Renacre; with a focus on stranger, more haunting tracks as well as straight forward stuff that is closer to what we now consider ‘’Tech House’’. There is a lot of depth and variety in the first wave of this scene as the genre cliches were not yet established, so some of the tracks contain more techno or electro elements and broken beats, the common uniting factor being an undeniable ‘’house’’ groove that allows them to get away with these stranger elements. It's the genre that really got me into dance music and I’m very happy to be able to dedicate a whole show to it."
