On this month’s Naptime, drowzee takes us on a deep dive thru the slower side of the Angolan-Portuguese Lisbon music scene. Whilst the faster paced sounds of Kuduro & Batida have been gaining recognition in the club music underground, their slower siblings - Tarraxo, Tarraxhina & Kizomba - are lesser known. The sound palette is similar, but the drum patterns are slowed down to sub-100 bpm, resulting in some of the most rhythmically interesting and unusual slow dance music around. If you are a fan of any music on labels like Principe and Enchufada, this show should be right up your street - get locked.
