Hailing from Romania, Alex has been working within the field of migration for over four years, initially on the island of Lesbos, then Samos and, until recently, in Thessaloniki. With a background in law, Alex now works for Border Violence Monitoring Network who monitor human rights violations at the external borders of the European Union and advocate for the rights of people on the move.
