Joaquin Cornejo is a 23 year old musician, producer and DJ from Ecuador living in Manchester for the last 4 years. He focuses on experimenting with a fusion of electronic music and traditional folkloric rhythms from Latin America. He find his inspirations in the mystical elements of music and he thinks you can find this combination of opposites, such as the ethereal and the primal, or the graceful and disturbing for example. Getting the balance right between these sort of textures is what he looks for and what moves him the most. 3 Months ago his first EP called "El Viaje" was released via a Colombian record label called KONN Recordings. There's also a single coming out via Shango Records this month.
