Barrington DeVaughn Hendricks, AKA JPEGMAFIA, is an MC and producer who welds witty and angular raps with noisy production. Born in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, he spent his early years in New York, relocated to Alabama and ultimately enlisted in the Air Force, departing to bases in Japan, Germany and the Middle East. The JPEGMAFIA project came to life after his service, when he settled down in Baltimore. His music is a collaged cacophony filled with sharp-witted takes on issues and themes of modern culture.
