Washington, DC born and bred DJ Domo has a steep list of accomplishments. As a DJ, she has played for former president Barack Obama, at Google’s 10-year anniversary and for the Broccoli City Festival. She’s also the curator of the Apple Music playlist “The New DMV” which puts the spotlight on the up-and-coming sounds out of the DC-Maryland-Virginia area. Outside of DJing, Domo runs a creative consultancy called GIRLAAA that works in the middle-ground between music and art; she'd also a public speaker at schools and conferences about women in creative spaces, and how to connect the dots to fulfill creative dreams. Domo was recently a voice in the #DontMuteDC movement, an in-person and online rally for preserving gogo culture in the capital. We’ve got a lot of ground to cover with Domo this week, so tune in to her conversation with host Lawrence Burney.
