With Red Bull Music Academy celebrating all things 1999 this week, Top Flight calls out for a rewind – we’re going back to the peak of UK garage. Donning her finest Moschino, host Chal Ravens looks back on UKG’s crossover moment and selects some of the best dancefloor tracks from the era, including cuts by Wookie and Monsta Boy. To take us to the present day, new-school garage selector Conducta will talk about his journey into 2-step, and introduces his new label, Kiwi Rekords. Next, Kiwi Records signee Mind of a Dragon steps up for a Top Flight guest mix showcasing his modern twist on a classic sound. On top of that, Chal has the week’s best new releases from the global bass underground, including the killer new single from Parisian club talent Le Dom and new tracks from Brazil’s Superficie, Brooklyn’s Epic B and Kampala’s Spooky-J.
