This Side of Nowhere with Veronica Vasicka – Japanese Wave

To coincide with the Red Bull Music Festival Tokyo, Veronica Vasicka digs into her extensive Japanese synth music collection once again and revisits the theme of her debut show which aired last summer. We’ll be listening to bands from all over Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe. There’s pop-oriented tunes as well as more underground tracks, and it’s interesting to dig into these Japanese-themed shows because Japan was the home to three important synth manufacturing companies at the time: Roland, Yamaha, and Korg.
