Stathis Kalatzis, better known as Mr. Statik, and Panagiotis Melidis, AKA Larry Gus, have come together to create a twisted, entrancing debut LP, reflecting their shared sensibilities for out-there sounds and undeniable grooves. With disparate musical backgrounds inspired by their hometowns in Greece, and omnivorous tastes as performers and producers – early ’70s free jazz, psych-pop melodies, techno, breakbeats and beyond – the pair have earned individual success worldwide. In this session, they join forces for their debut live performance as Territroy, ahead of the release of a collaborative LP that reflects the best of both their sonic worlds.
