Stephen O’Malley presents Acid Quarry Paris – Live from Berlin with Deradoorian

Despite meeting many years ago in New York City, Angel Deradoorian and Stephen O’Malley didn’t actually get to join forces creatively before a very memorable live improvisation at RBMA Montréal 2016. It was clear from the start that they share not only the technical skillset but also an aesthetic sensibility that allows them to create beautiful, towering vocal drone performances on the spot. Since then they've performed as a duo on several stages, most recently at Moogfest 2018. On this special live episode of Acid Quarry Paris, recorded at the Funkhaus during RBMA Berlin, Angel and SOMA reflect on their unique collaborative dynamics, the long-form music pieces that inspire them, and the one time they got their aura photos taken in a magic jewelery joint in Chinatown.
