Description
Welcome to Stephen O’Malley’s final acid test from the city of lights. Unsurprisingly, SOMA has saved some of his finest picks for last, including UK folk-jazz pioneers Pentangle, a tribute to the everlasting genius of Mika Vainio, Albert Ayler, and an unreleased piece by the grandmaster of drone experiments, Phill Niblock. (Of course, it ends with Miles; all good things in life start and end with Miles.) This episode, like many before, as been recorded at Paris-based studio Bermudes, thanks to Vincent Drux (pictured on left in this month’s photo). And as always, Acid Quarry Paris has been engineered and edited masterfully by Franck Haderer (to SOMA’s right). Merci pour tout, messieurs.
