Road To Tokyo Sessions #1: Axel Boman - Snorkelling In The Snow Mix

Applications open this week for the Red Bull Music Academy 2011, which will head to Japan in autumn. To get things rolling, we're presenting a new exclusive mix from a former Academy participant every week from now until the end of the application period. First on our road to Tokyo is Axel Boman, one third of Stockholm’s infamous Studio Barnhus crew, and the producer behind two of the most captivating 4/4 debaucheries in recent times, “Holy Love” and “Purple Drank”, both released on DJ Koze’s Pampa label. His „Snorkling In The Snow“ mix has us waking up with Axel’s name on our lips once again, as the Swede builds his very own vision of deep and dark soul fiction, with tunes on labels like Perlon, Dial and Rush Hour.
