Mafalda was born in Portugal, but fell in love with London's club scene while on vacation. Since moving to the British capital four years ago, she's fully immersed herself in the local music scene; she spent many late nights at Plastic People, where she met Sam Shepherd, AKA Floating Points. The two run the reissue label Melodies International, which has overseen the release of now-iconic records by Aged In Harmony and Open Soul.
