Red Bull Music Odyssey: Heartless Crew on The Transmission

Few collectives have had such a profound impact on the UK garage scene as Heartless Crew. Coming up in the golden age of pirate radio, London MC's Bushkin, Mighty Moe and DJ Fonti began playing house parties and small clubs and took over the airwaves, mixing up R&B, hip-hop, jungle and dancehall. By the early 2000s, they had taken over the airwaves on BBC 1Xtra, released a debut compilation album, Heartless Crew presents Crisp Biscuit Vol 1 and their hit single, "The Heartless Theme AKA The Superglue Riddim." In this session the crew performs an epic set filled with classic UK garage jams on Julia Adenuga's pirate radio-themed boat.
