Description
Over the course of the last 35 years or so, otherworldly Australian rocker Nick Cave has lent both unhinged visceral screams and sultry, mysterious dark cabaret vocals to bands like the Birthday Party, Bad Seeds and Grinderman. Yet it can be hard to find the right entry point into Cave's cramped and crowded back catalog. We invite Zachary Lipez – music writer, member of Publicist UK, Downtown NYC aesthete, bartender extraordinaire and Nick Cave fan (check his "The Guide to Getting Into Nick Cave" for Noisey) to play us some of Cave’s finest material and let us know what makes him so lovable. In the second half of the show, Swiss RBMA alumnus Lemonick (Paris, 2015) – who has released cool, stripped-back bass cuts on labels like Car Crash Set and Club Werks – celebrates his new _Monza_ EP (for fellow alum Astrolith's Space Is the Place label) with a special mini-mix of banging new dance jams, just for us. We’ll round out the show with some brand new music from across the globe!
