Thursday, May 3 marks the start of Red Bull Music Festival NYC, with the event *If This Knowledge Scares You, The Equation Is Working.* Titled after '80s New York artist RAMMΣLLZΣΣ's self-penned manifesto, the event is a celebration of RAM's commitment to the liberation of language and expression, as translated by modern-day kindred spirits from the NYC underground. Today we hear from two of those voices: versatile Brooklyn producer Tony Seltzer – who's worked with Wiki, Jay Critch, Princess Nokia, Ski Mask the Slump God, Smokepurpp and more – oscillates between styles, favoring a dark and bubbling sound that rings true to his native NYC upbringing; then Manhattan-raised maverick and Ratking co-founder Wiki, famed for his tongue-twisting rhymes and sharp lyrics, steps in to talk about paying homage to the Big Apple, his Letter Racer crew and the spirit of RAMMΣLLZΣΣ.
