At the core of Austin's White Denim are founding members James Petralli (vocals, guitars) and Steve Terebecki (bass). Over the course of eight albums, the prolific duo have attracted a rotating cast of members to their nucleus, injecting their sound with psychedelic and garage rock, rock & roll, punk, funk, jazz, blues and prog rock. In March the band released their eighth album, _Side Effects_, just one year after album number seven, _Performance_. Culled from the tracks that have been left on the cutting-room floor over the years, _Side Effects_ encapsulates the sonic history of White Denim. Today, Petralli and Terebecki speak with Vivian about picking which tracks made the new cut, what working with so many different musicians has taught them and much more.
