On this grey Monday, Peak Time pays tribute to Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, who was found dead in his Berlin apartment on Friday night at the age of 48. One of the leading lights of the post-classical movement, Jóhannsson is perhaps best love for his thrilling, restrained scores for movies like _Arrival_, _Sicario_ and _The Theory of Everything_; his solo albums — _IBM 1401, A User's Manual_ and _Orphee_ — demonstrate a haunting preoccupation with loss, disappearance and the unknown. Then, in celebration of Black History Month, we highlight the work and words of harpist Brandee Younger, plus renowned drummer and crate digger Questlove pops in to deliver some Couch Wisdom. We'll also hear a sample of the bumping new Choice Mix with the Canadian duo Jump Source (Francis Latreille and Project Pablo). This episode is rounded out with new music from Factory Floor, Hitmakerchinx and Sango, among others.
