This year marks the 20th anniversary of Lauryn Hill’s album, _The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill_. The first solo release from Hill saw the singer and rapper flexing her vocal range, oscillating between hip-hop and soul —she received massive critical acclaim. In 1999, the record won Grammys and a Billboard Music Award — in the years since, it’s been listed as one of Rolling Stone’s 500 best albums and included in _1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die_.
