Description
Our final day here in Detroit we take a quick trip back to New York via a conversation with Robyn. Vivian speaks with the Swedish pop star following her RBMF NYC lecture to discuss her favorite sounds, her songwriting process, and the dance floor.
To close out our week in Detroit, we go from techno to cryptocurrency to noodles. Techno may not be the music one would typically associate with the art of cooking, but in Detroit, the two are a perfect pairing. For our final day in the Motor City, we welcome three of the city's techno DJs turned chefs/restauranteurs - Mike Ransom of ramen shop Ima Noodles, Kaku Usui of Kaku Sushi & Poke, and Steve Swart (AKA DJ Ruckus) of Ruckus Ramen - to explain how it works so well. We'll spin the tracks that light their creative culinary fires and discuss their journeys from the turntables to the kitchen tables. To close us out, we talk to artist, activist, and Afrofuturist Ingrid LaFleur.
