Today's _Peak Time_ surveys the work of two powerful artists whose work questions race relations, stereotypes and the past and future of black identity. Renee Cox's photographs and collages provoke conversation about cliches — such as "Raje," in which a black female superhero frees Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima, or "Yo Mama's Last Supper," which re-envisions da Vinci's iconic "Last Supper" with black disciples, a white Judas and a naked Cox in the place of Jesus. We talk to Cox about her work, Afrofuturism, the art of the remix and what's on her mind in this current political climate... and maybe working with Spike Lee and the Jungle Brothers as well. Vivian also talks to "Chairman" Jeff Mao (of _Across 135th Street_) about the far-out work of graffiti artist, rapper, downtown icon and interstellar voyager Rammellzee.
