Meaghan Garvey is a Chicago-based writer and illustrator with bylines in _FADER_, _Pitchfork_, _Billboard_, _The Village Voice_ and more. Over the course of her career, she’s illustrated numerous books and zines — including a Future fan-fiction zine — and covered some of hip-hop's biggest names. Known for her unapologetic, anti-patriarchal criticism of hip-hop and a depth of knowledge that would challenge the most seasoned writers, she’s fought for and secured her place as a leading voice in the new generation of rap critics. Vivian calls Garvey up to get her expert take on Future, his many recent features, his disappearance (again) from social media and hear what she thinks might be next for Atlanta’s golden boy. She then talks to New York rap writer Craig Jenkins – who has written extensively on Lil Yachty for _Vulture_, _Pitchfork_ and _Noisey_ – to get his take on _Lil Boat 2_, the newest mixtape from the young trapper sometimes known as the "king of teens."
