Peak Time – Peak Time Live: Numero Group, Closed Sessions and Tasha

We're back in the Windy City for number two of our three-part series of Peak Time Live from Chicago, part of Red Bull Music Festival taking place in November. To begin, Vivian sits down with Rob Sevier to discuss the history and ever-growing catalog of Numero Group, the record label under which he and cofounder Ken Shipley have re-pressed hundreds of overlooked and obscure recordings in soul, rock and more. Andre Gibson of Universal Togetherness Band will continue this conversation by discussing what it was like to have his music rediscovered through a Numero Group release. In the second hour of the show, Alex Fruchter and Mike Kolar, cofounders of Closed Sessions, will join Vivian to talk about the label's role in the Chicago hip-hop community. The show will wrap up with a very special performance by the city's newest rising star, Tasha.
