At just 17 years old, Misa Hylton shook up '90s R&B and hip-hop fashion with her laid-back and quirky approach to styling Jodeci. She took the quartet out of dress shoes and suits and into combat boots and hoodies, and forever changed the game. She's been the woman behind the styles of R&B and hip-hop fashion icons like Sean Combs (whom she dated for a stint and convinced to sign the Notorious B.I.G.) Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent and of course Lil Kim, who donned that infamous sequined catsuit and pastie at the 1999 VMAs. In 2012, Hylton turned her sights to a more philanthropic endeavor, establishing her Styling Academy for aspiring stylists.
