Live from Berlin's Funkhaus, today's _Peak Time_ falls deeply under the influence of the hypnotic rhythms and cosmic proto-electronics of krautrock. We'll hear a conversation between Lauren Martin and Manuel Göttsching, leader of the groups Ash Ra Tempel and Ashra in the 1970s and '80s, and one of the most important guitarists of the kosmische style, whose work has influenced ambient, balearic, post-rock, techno and beyond. Martin talks to Göttsching about Timothy Leary, the '60s trip, proto-electronics and his influential hit _E2-E4_ among many other topics. At the top of the show though, Vivian welcomes the Grammy-nominated producing duo, twins Taiwo Hassan and Kehinde Hassan aka Christian Rich. Born in Chicago and raised in Nigeria, the two began producing at a very young age, favoring beat-making to the sports and games of their peers. In the early aughts, their pop-leaning sensibilities drew the attention of Pharrell Williams and Shae Haley of N.E.R.D.
