Description
Lou Doillon is a French singer, actress and model, whose parents are the film director Jacques Doillon and the actress and model Jane Birkin — she took her place in the limelight at the age of five, when she acted in renowned director Agnes Varda's _Kung Fu Master_. At 16, Doillon followed in her mother's footsteps and began modeling, becoming the face of Miu Miu, Chloé and H&M, and has collaborated with some of fashion's biggest photographers. However it is music that is her true creative passion, a love inherited from her audiophile father; at 30 years old she released her debut album _Places_, which earned her a French Grammy. Recently the sultry chanteuse, who cites Cat Power, Fiona Apple, Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen among her influences, released her third studio album, _Soliloquy_. While the album embodies Doillon's moody folk essence, it incorporates a broader scope of sound, from '90s trip-hop to Caribbean reggae.
