New York City icon Lady Bunny is synonymous with the history of drag in America – she came up in the Atlanta gay scene of the early 1980s alongside RuPaul and Larry Tee; by 1984, she was co-founding Wigstock with other denizens of NYC’s Pyramid Club (then “the CBGB’s of drag culture”). Wigstock became both an annual ritual for the LGBT community and a spectacle for the curious until the parade ended in 2005. On the occasion of a screening of 1995's _Wigstock: The Movie_ and outrageous shorts hosted by Lady Bunny (February 10th in Los Angeles as part of the Red Bull Music Festival LA), we're calling up Ms. Bunny for a deee-lightful and kitschy trip down memory lane to the present day!
