LA producer Kenny Beats started off making rap beats, with production credits on tracks for Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q, but eventually he transitioned into the EDM world. Despite his success as an EDM DJ — he's toured the globe and released records on Dim Mak and OWSLA with his LOUDPVCK project — his true passion remains rap production. Since returning to his rap roots, Kenny has contributed a wide range of styles to some of 2018's hottest rap releases by Rico Nasty, 03 Greedo, Key!, Freddie Gibbs and beyond. Vivian calls up Kenny in his Burbank studio to discuss his various projects, his production advice and how his and Mija's Don't Think crew are poised to take home the glory at this year's Culture Clash.
