The Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum producer known as Jay E (AKA Jason Epperson) is a St. Louis legend, credited with defining its signature sound — hip-hop mixed with soul, blues and pop — in the early aughts with his production for on Nelly's 2000 album _Country Grammar_. Through the years the prolific producer has continued to promote St. Louis by working closely with Nelly and his group St. Lunatics, and he imprinted his trademark on the music of E-40, Lil Wayne, Three Six Mafia, Justin Timberlake and more. This past July he released _In The City Vol 1._, a collection of tracks that showcases his hometown scene, with music from some of St. Louis' biggest names in hip-hop and the rising generation of rappers who are repping the city hard. To celebrate its release, Red Bull presented a very special show in St. Louis with performances from E-40, Chingy, Murphy Lee, Tef Poe and Mvstermind.
