English bassist, singer, poet and composer John Joseph Wardle, AKA Jah Wobble, first introduced the world to his dub-heavy basslines with Public Image Ltd in the late '70s. After two albums — _Public Image: First_ and _Metal Box_ — creative differences forced Wobble to split from PiL and embark on a solo career, releasing his poignantly titled debut _Betrayal_ in 1981. In the years following, as a solo musician and bandleader, Wobble has collaborated with CAN, the Edge and Brian Eno, and formed numerous collectives, most notably the Invaders of the Heart. The prolific musician has shown no sign of slowing, clocking in with over 60 albums which all straddle the lines between jazz, funk, reggae and even EDM, incorporating instrumentations from across the globe.
