Haleek Maul is a Brooklyn-born, Barbados-raised rapper; he emerged on the scene in 2012 at the tender age of 16 with the release of _Chrome Lips_, a collaborative album with Supreme Cuts. A self-professed black sheep, Maul favors lyrics spun from the dark webs of his dreams and overbearing existential dread, done in a freewheeling, clever style that has brought the likes of P. Morris, Black Noi$e, Ryan Hemsworth and LE1f to call for collaborations. Upon the release of Haleek's _In Permanence_ EP on Lex Records, he talks to Vivian about his recording process, video games, Aleister Crowley, poetry and the unknown. Today's show is rounded out with some words from the infamous '90s video-director Hype Williams, and lots of new music.
