Description
Today's episode is all house, from beat-heavy hip-house to melodic, lo-fi and rough-edged. In our first hour we hear from New York producer Galcher Lustwerk, a Cleveland native who combines deep house beats with his own subtle vocals, creating a laid-back variation on late-'80s hip-house. In his 20-plus years producing and DJing he's released music with White Material Record, Ghostly, NDATL, Tsuba, R&S, Rekids and Lobster Theremin, and on his own label, Lustwerk Music (which is behind the new 20-track, digital-only _200% GALCHER_). In the second half of the show, guest host Gabriel Herrera speaks with Malmo's DJ Seinfeld, AKA Armand Jakobsson, who established himself with rough but emotive house as Rimbaudian and jungle as Birds of Sweden. Last year he unveiled the DJ Seinfeld alias with the underground hit single "U." As DJ Seinfeld, Jakobsson took the chance to diversify, embracing jungle, breaks and electro as well as plenty of rough-edged house.
