Growing up in an Dominican household in Washington, DC, Miguel A. Duran, AKA Fuego, absorbed the music of his heritage: salsa, merengue, and reggaeton, as well as American hip-hop and trap. When he began recording music Fuego embraced the sonics of both regions, melding the influences of the US and Caribbean to result in what we now call Latin trap. A true innovator, Fuego continually tops the charts and enjoys major collaborations with the likes of J Balvin and Pitbull, putting out official Spanish remixes for the rap world's ruling royalty. For today's episode on Atlanta's Culture Clash, Vivian speaks with Fuego about his crew Fireboy Sound and how they plan to bring the heat to the event.
