DJ Taye is a 24-year-old footwork talent, one of the stars of the Hyperdub label's sparkling lineup. Raised on Chicago's Southside, Taye began making rap beats at age 11, but a chance discovery of footwork music and culture, and his subsequent involvement in crews like Ghetto Teknitianz and Teklife, led him on a path to the 160bpm soul that has made him a name in the dance music underground.
