Since the release of his debut album _Drone Logic_, on Erol Alkan's Phantasy Sound, Daniel Avery has released innumerable EPs and singles, helmed a DJ Kicks mix, collaborated on side projects (including a recent one with Nine Inch Nails' Alessandro Cortini) and toured extensively. The London producer has quickly earned a respectable reputation for his reverent big-room, acid house sound. Earlier this year he announced his sophomore album, _Song for Alpha_, which he's described as an "exploration of the space in which home listening and club music intersect." Avery sits in with Vivian to chat about what he's been up to these past five years and the quiet moments in the club that inspired this album. Later in the show, we'll hear from !!!'s Nic Offer and Rafael Cohen. The band has come to be known for its forward-thinking brand of dance-punk, and last year !!! released its seventh album, _Shake the Shudder_.
