Description
The multi-instrumentalist Cuco first appeared on the Cali DIY scene at the tender age of 17 with the release of his first mixtape, _Wannabewithu_. Cuco is self-taught in guitar, bass, keys, drums, trumpet, french horn, mellophone and Ableton, and caught the attention of his peers with his wistful songs about teenage heartbreak and growing up with immigrant parents. He released a second mixtape, _Songs4u_, the bilingual track "Lo Que Siento" and his _Chiquito_ EP, and toured across North America to sold-out shows, including appearances at Coachella, Governors Ball, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. Most recently he collaborated with Red Bull Music to record a mariachi version of his song “Amor de Siempre," with Mariachi Lindas Mexicanas, an all-female band. Guest host Harley Brown calls Cuco up to discuss the deeper meanings of this new mariachi version and what's in store next for the young artist.
