Channeling Miami’s fiery rap lineage with self-assured confidence, the duo of JT and Young Miami, AKA City Girls, are the city’s boldest and brashest new voice in hip-hop. Last year the young upstarts, who’ve known each other since their early teens, burst onto the scene with aplomb, turning heads with their raw lyrics and unabashed swagger. Not long after, Coach K and Pierre "Pee" Thomas took notice and signed City Girls to their renowned label, Quality Control Music, making them the first women to join the roster. JT and Young Miami recently sat down with Vivian to discuss their debut project for the label, their quick rise to fame, broke boys and the original bad girls of Miami.
