Singer, songwriter and filmmaker Alex Anwandter first became popular as the vocalist for the band Teleradio Donoso before stepping out on his own with disco-inflected indie-pop that addresses violence against the LGBT community, Chile's endemic poverty and getting in touch with the feminine within a macho society. Andwandter calls in from his new home in Los Angeles to talk about his latest endeavors and maintaining his Chilean roots despite relocating. Plus, David "El Buga" Bugueño – a Santiago-based DJ, producer, journalist and man about town – drops us some insider knowledge about what's bubbling up in Chile's capital, from labels to watch to exciting artists to the killer Noche Africana club night.
