Thirty years ago this October, the Irish singer-songwriter and ascribed New Age icon Enya released her most recognizable and ubiquitous single, “Orinoco Flow (Sail Away).” Sampled in countless tracks, from pop hits to rap cuts, the single earned multiple Grammy nominations, sat atop global charts and eventually found its way onto Virgin records top-selling new age compilation _Pure Moods_, solidifying it as the most influential song of the genre. Today's episode is dedicated to Enya and her impact on a genre she questioned her relationship to. First up, guest host Harley Brown speaks to sound healer, musician, reiki master and dreamwork teacher Arji Cakourous and ambient pioneer Laraaji; both of them carry the current New Age torch in their musical and meditative collaborations.
