Description
On this day, 25 years ago two seminal albums were released that would go down in the annals of hip-hop history as influencing the sound of a generation: Wu-Tang Clan's debut, _Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)_ and A Tribe Called Quest's _Midnight Marauders_. Today's Peak Time is dedicated to these pioneering releases, the stories around their drops and the lasting impact not only in music but on a wider cultural scale. At the top of the show, we'll dive into _Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)_ with writer, producer and rapper Skiz Fernando, whose own debut drew comparisons to the Wu-Tang sound. For the second hour of the show we'll welcome back poet and music writer Hanif Abdurraqib, who is currently finalizing a book that chronicles the legacy of ATCQ, to discuss _Midnight Marauders_.
